Kelakos was a band on the rise in the 1970s, known for their blend of classic rock and soulful energy. After disbanding decades ago, they reunited to release new material—and needed a digital home that would honor their legacy while introducing their music to a new generation.
The challenge? They had no recent photos, no tour schedule, and no existing website. All I had to work with was the album cover for their latest release. From there, I built the entire site—a custom WordPress design that balanced vintage roots with a polished modern presence.
Full creative direction
Custom WordPress development
Site architecture and layout design
Copywriting across all pages
Visual curation and styling based on album artwork
SEO optimization and metadata setup
Ongoing site updates and content management for new releases and press
This project required a strong sense of visual storytelling. With no professional photoshoots to draw from, I had to build an entire brand identity using the mood, palette, and energy of the album cover.
The result was a site that feels cohesive and expressive—paying homage to the band’s history while positioning them as serious musicians with something new to say.
I leaned into a a visually expansive cosmic tone with subtle textures, clean typography, and a balanced layout. Each design decision was made to reflect their legacy while maintaining a timeless, professional feel.
Home Page: Album-focused hero section with call-to-action
The Band: A detailed bio that shares the group’s history and reunion story

Music Videos & Playlists: Dedicated pages showcasing their visual media and curated playlists
News Section: Updates and announcements from the band
Online Press Kit (OPK): Integrated to the distributor page

Mobile-Friendly Design: Built for easy navigation and engagement on all devices
Despite minimal media assets, the site feels visually rich and easy to explore.
The Kelakos website is proof that strong creative direction can elevate even the simplest assets into a compelling online experience. The band now has a professional presence that honors their past and supports their current release.
My work with Kelakos is ongoing—as they release new music, videos, or press features, I continue to update and evolve the site to reflect their growth. It remains an active collaboration.
This project was a joy to create. It was all about honoring the music—and making it easy for others to discover and enjoy it too.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or reviving a legacy, I help musicians build a brand and digital home that actually resonates.
